Is a Vascular Ultrasound needed?

Typically, prior to your consult of a vascular surgeon, the physician might order a vascular ultrasound. Why? Well, the sonographers can leverage Ultrasonography technology or ‘Ultrasound’ for short, to obtain imagery of your flow within your circulatory system which can identify any narrowing or occlusion. Vascular surgeons can review the images to determine the next steps to treat the vascular disease.
