We are excited to announce that our Mat-Su clinic and interventional suite is well underway of construction! This new expansion allows Alyeska Vascular Surgery & Podiatry along with its allied partners to provide vascular, imaging and podiatry services to the valued patients living in the Mat-Su community!  No longer will our patients need to travel to Anchorage for intervention and or follow-up/Consult appointments with our surgeons! We will be located on the bottom floor of the newly developed Medical Office Building II on the Mat-su Regional Medical Center campus.

Our projected timeline for opening will be April 2020.

Why would one ever need to see a podiatrist? These trained physicians focus on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the foot, ankle or related structures within lower extremity region i.e. below the knee. In fact according to the College of Podiatric Medicine, Podiatrist are the only doctors to receive specialized medical and surgical training as well as board certification in the treatment/ care of the foot and ankle. Typically, prior to your consult of a vascular surgeon, the physician might order a vascular ultrasound. Why? Well, the sonographers can leverage Ultrasonography technology or ‘Ultrasound’ for short, to obtain imagery of your flow within your circulatory system which can identify any narrowing or occlusion. Vascular surgeons can review the images to determine the next steps to treat the vascular disease. A fair amount patients hear, Vascular Surgeon and conclude a vein or artery specialist or isolate the scope of vascular surgery to the upper or lower extremities (limbs).
